(Cricket news) CSK, led by the inspirational MS Dhoni, will be eager to win at home after losing to Rajasthan Royals in a thrilling last-over matchup in their previous league contest.
The Super Kings will be hoping to maintain their perfect record at Chepauk, where SRH has never been able to defeat CSK in the TATA IPL.
The stadium is anticipated to be filled with a sea of yellow as the Yellow Army battles the Orange Army, led by Aiden Markram. Once again, Thala Dhoni will be the centre of attention when CSK arrives for their Anbuden match.
Harbhajan Singh stated on Star Sports Cricket Live, “Mahendra Singh Dhoni is only one. There cannot be a bigger cricketer than him in India. Someone could have scored more runs than him and someone could have taken more wickets than him, but no one has a bigger fanbase than him. Dhoni has accepted this fandom to heart and he respects his teammates as well. He walks with so much love and emotion that anyone else would go mad, but Dhoni has carried this love and emotion in his heart for 15 years and he still hasn’t changed at all.”
All-rounder Shivam Dube, who lit up the stage with his soaring sixes against RCB at M Chinnaswamy, will be the focus of teammates and spectators as CSK take on Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh praised the left-handed hitter for his variety of shots and suggested that the Mumbaikar should keep having the chance to bat higher in the order more frequently.
Harbhajan Singh stated on Star Sports Cricket Live, “Shivam Dube’s hitting range is tremendous. Whenever the ball comes into his hitting arc, he dispatches it for a biggie. CSK banks a lot on players with such qualities. Shivam should continue to get opportunities to bat at the top.”
After suffering their fifth straight loss, the Delhi Capitals earned their first victory of the year. In yet another TATA IPL thriller, David Warner led his side from the front as DC defeated KKR by four wickets.
Kevin Pietersen, a former England cricketer, praised Warner and his group for snapping their losing trend. The illustrious English cricketer, though, is critical of Delhi’s performance since their batting still raises questions.
Kevin Pietersen stated on Star Sports Cricket Live, “Games like these give you the confidence. There was a sense of relief in the camp. We’ve seen Mumbai Indians do a couple of times in the past. They were unstoppable after coming on the winning track. Could it be the same for Delhi? We’ll have to wait and see. Warner led from the front with his captaincy and batting. He was, unfortunately, let down by the team. Batting still remains a weak link for them.”
