PSG aim to come back from a goal down away at Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have the advantage but PSG will come out all guns blazing
PSG Vs Bayern Munich

(Football news) PSG lost the 1st leg at Bayern Munich in disappointing fashion. They will now try to come back from a goal down at the Allianz Arena. Bayern Munich come into this game on the back of wins against Union Berlin and Stuttgart. PSG on the other hand defeated Lille, Marseille and Nantes in their last 3 matches. Bayern Munich were very dominant in the first leg as PSG spent most of the game in their own box. This time around Kylian Mbappe is fit enough to start and he will be a massive difference maker for them.

PSG will be without star player Neymar Junior who is out for the season following an ankle injury. Presnel Kimpembe is still out of contention but Renato Sanchez has recovered from his injury. Marco Verrati missed the weekend’s game against Nantes due to suspension so he will be fresh and ready to go. As for Bayern Munich, Benjamin Pavard is out after getting sent off in the return leg while Lucas Hernandez, Manuel Neuer and Noussair Mazraoui are still out due to their respective injuries. Sadio Mane returned to action as a substitute against Stuttgart but may still not start this game.

Julian Nagelsmann has been playing a number of different formations so it will be interesting to see what shape he goes with. Bayern Munich’s biggest challenge will be to keep hold of Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi up front. Christophe Galtier has been playing the two up front in a 3-5-2 formation which seems to be working well.

PSG will have to keep Jamal Musiala quiet because if he has a good game then it will be very difficult for them. Bayern Munich are likely to dominate possession of the game just like last time while PSG will be looking to unleash Mbappe on the counter. The French club are still searching for their first Champions League but they will need to be at their best in order to conquer Bavaria.
