(Cricket news) Midway into the TATA IPL 2023, there are few players that light up the stage with their consistently flashy displays.

While Faf du Plessis, the captain of the RCB, has been the most productive foreign batsman in the TATA IPL 2023. With 407 runs in 7 games at the end of the first half, the former South African cricketer leads the TATA IPL 2023 in run production. Du Plessis continues to show that age is just a number by striking out at 165.3 in this edition.

The former Proteas captain has been praised by former Indian cricketer Mohammed Kaif for his athleticism in the field and quickness between the wickets, which is assisting his opening partner Virat Kohli at the other end.

Mohammed Kaif stated on Star Sports Cricket Live,  “Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli are very good runners-between-the-wickets. AB de Villiers may not be there but in Faf, Kohli has a partner who is capable of playing big knocks and string long partnerships.”

Rashid Khan, a renowned spinner for Afghanistan, is one of the more productive foreign bowlers in the current competition, having taken 14 wickets in Gujarat Titans first seven games. In the TATA IPL 2023, Rashid has been taking a wicket every 12 balls for the reigning champions.

The best hitter among the uncapped players who made their impact in the TATA IPL 2023 has been Rinku Singh of the Kolkata Knight Riders. In the first seven games of this season, the left-handed middle-order hitter from Uttar Pradesh has scored 233 runs.

Former Australian cricketer David Hussey praised Rinku’s performance for KKR in the current match and urged him to play for the Indian cricket team.

David Hussey stated on Star Sports Cricket Live, “Rinku Singh is a phenomenal talent. He has been doing well in domestic cricket and the KKR franchise has backed him well. He’s grown in his confidence and taken his game to the next level. Hopefully, he gets to play for India soon.”

Yashasvi Jaiswal, a promising rookie batter for the Rajasthan Royals, has improved significantly in the TATA IPL 2023, scoring 227 runs in the first seven games. The Mumbai native bats left-handed.

Tushar Deshpande, a right-arm pacer for Chennai Super Kings, has twelve victims in seven games, making him the greatest uncapped bowler thus far. Deshpande may be a little pricey, but he is taking a wicket approximately every 12.7 deliveries.

He keeps picking up wickets at crucial times for his team and not once did he look down after getting hit for six. His body language looks positive this year.”
