The squad for the United States Men's National Basketball Team has been set as it begins its preparations for the USA 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

NBA Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero, 20yrs, is followed on the list of players by Tyrese Haliburton, 23yrs, and Anthony Edwards, 21 yrs, both of whom were selected in the 2020 NBA Draft and made their All-Star debuts in 2023. The team’s training camp will start on August 3 in Las Vegas, and a practice match versus Puerto Rico is slated for August 7. Steve Kerr, who succeeds Gregg Popovich as head coach of the Golden State Warriors, will serve as their captain.

The Group Phase of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 starts on August 25, 2023. The final game is scheduled for Sunday, September 10 at 8:40 a.m. ET during the Final Phase, also known as the elimination phase, which starts on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023.

The Mall of Asia Arena in Manila will serve as the site of all of the Group Phase games for the United States Men’s National Team, who will compete in Group C. The United States, Jordan, and Greece make up Group C. The top two finishers from Group C will join the top two finishers from Group D (Egypt, Mexico, Montenegro, and Lithuania) in the Second Round.
