(Cricket news) League with a total of six teams will be taking part in 18 matches in the state’s domestic T20 league. FanCode will be live streaming all the matches. The league was inaugurated on June 22 and will run till June 30. Matches will be played at 3:30 PM and 7:30 PM. All the matches will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Dehradun.

Talking about the tournament, Madhwal said “I’m really thrilled about UPL. It provides a platform for cultivating players to light up and even IPL scouts are always searching for new and passionate players. All the players will give their best and who knows, the next Uttarakhand star might be found through the league.”

Former Mumbai captain Aditya Tare said he’s looking forward to sharing the dressing room with the youngsters and to wants to share his knowledge and experience which could help them with their development. 

“Uttarakhand has a lot of talent, these leagues will provide the exact opportunity for them to showcase their talent and to promote themselves to a higher level of cricket. And with the league being broadcasted through FanCode, it will encourage the players even more.“

Nainital Ninjas, Dehradun Dabang, Tehri Titans, Udham Singh Nagar Tigers, Haridwar Heroes, and Pithorgarh Champs are the six teams taking part in the competition.

15 matches will be played in the round-robin format, and the top 4 teams will then battle it out in the semifinals and finals.

Cricket fans will be able to watch all the action from the series on FanCode’s mobile app (Android, iOS), TV app available on Android TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Jio STB, Samsung TV, Airtel XStream, and OTTPlay.
