(Football News) Tottenham Hotspur after a brilliant start to the season have fallen off. They are currently 5th on the table having won just 1 Premier League game since the return from the World Cup break. Antonio Conte is under a lot of pressure and so far Tottenham Hotspur has not made any moves to sign anyone in January. Now there are reports emerging of their interest in Sporting Lisbon’s Pedro Porro. The player is very keen on the move and it all depends on the two clubs. Sporting are reportedly insisting that the only way to buy Porro in this window is by paying his release clause which is €45M.

Tottenham do need signings but a right back shouldn’t be their priority. Emerson Royale and Matt Doherty have played in that position while summer signing Djed Spence has barely got any game time. The left back is something which is potentially a weaker spot as is the center back position. Having said that, Porro is a very talented player who will definitely improve the team. He was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid for a long time but the move hasn’t materialized yet.

Antonio Conte’s job isn’t in danger yet but it could be very soon if things don’t change. The signing of Porro isn’t going to be something that changes things around but it could be a start of something. Tottenham Hotspur will have to be very quick with their negotiations as they don’t have much time. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Tottenham offered a player plus cash to Sporting Lisbon. Spurs have a very difficult run of fixtures coming and the sooner Porro arrives the better as far as Antonio Conte is concerned.
