(Cricket news) All four teams will try to give it their all with two important points on the line because the victor will remain in the running for the playoffs in the TATA IPL 2023. With 10 points each, LSG and PBKS will strive to win their remaining games to stay in the race. But SRH and DC’s quest in this edition might be all but over if they lose.
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag believes LSG is one of the most evenly matched teams in the current league.
Speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, Virender Sehwag said, “Lucknow Super Giants are one of the best and most balanced teams in this tournament. They’ve done well playing away from home but their performance at home ground in Lucknow hasn’t been up to the mark.”
The wicketkeeper-batsman for Punjab Kings, Jitesh Sharma, has pleased former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar this season. Gavaskar said the Punjabi player has been a significant member of the team.
Speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, Sunil Gavaskar said, “Jitesh Sharma has been contributing well for PBKS, he’s been striking the ball at a good rate at the back end of the innings. He’s giving Punjab just the push and momentum towards the last 4/5 overs, which they haven’t had in the previous years. So his contribution with the bat cannot be undermined.”
