Sunrisers Hyderabad welcome back key players for the clash against LSG

Skipper Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen and Heinrich Klaasen are all set to return for Sunrisers Hyderabad's 2nd game against Lucknow Super Giants
Sunrisers Hyderabad

(Cricket news) Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the first game by 72 runs against Rajasthan Royals. Now they will look to bounce back against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Lucknow started the campaign in brilliant fashion with a 50 run victory over Delhi Capitals. The 2nd match was a 12 run loss at the MA Chidambaram Stadium against Chennai Super Kings, now they will be looking to get back to winning ways. Both Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants will have to make a couple of very difficult selection calls which will be interesting to see.

Lucknow Super Giants possible playing XI:

KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock, Kyle Mayers, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Krishnappa Gowtham, Mark Wood, Ravi Bishnoi, Yash Thakur, Avesh Khan/ Ayush Badoni

Lucknow Super Giants Bench:

Jaydev Unadkat, Daniel Sams, Prerak Mankad, Amit Mishra, Swapnil Singh, Naveen-ul-Haq, Romario Shepherd, Yudhvir Singh Charak, Karan Sharma, Mayank Yadav, Manan Vohra, Marcus Stoinis

Someone will have to make way for Quinton de Kock and it is unlikely to be Kyle Mayers who has 2 fifties. There is a chance that de Kock doesn’t get into the XI but if he does then Marcus Stoinis is likely to go out. The 5 overseas players are all really good and it will be a difficult call to drop either of them. There is no clarity on Mohsin Khan’s fitness but if he is fit then he will come in place of Yash Thakur. Depending on the toss Avesh Khan or Ayush Badoni will most likely be the impact player.

Sunrisers Hyderabad possible playing XI:

Mayank Agarwal, Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram(c), Harry Brook, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Abdul Samad, Washington Sundar, Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, T Natarajan/Rahul Tripathi

Sunrisers Hyderabad Bench:

Vivrant Sharma, Mayank Dagar, Upendra Yadav, Mayank Markande, Akeal Hosein, Samarth Vyas, Anmolpreet Singh, Kartik Tyagi, Sanvir Singh, Nitish Reddy, Adil Rashid, Glenn Phillips, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Mayank Markande

The Proteas trio of Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen are likely to come straight into the side. Klaasen for Glenn Phillips is a like for like change as is Jansen for Fazalhaq Farooqi. Dropping Harry Brook after just one game would be a mistake so Adil Rashid is likely to make way for Aiden Markram.

Farooqi in particular had a good first game but Jansen being a left arm bowler who is very handy with the bat brings much more to the table. In the last match Abdul Samad was the impact player but now that Adil Rashid is on the bench he is likely to be in the XI for his batting and leg spin. Depending on the toss and the situation Rahul Tripathi or T Natarajan are likely to be the impact players for the Sunrisers Hyderabad
