(Tennis news) In a few shocking results at the Monte Carlo Masters, defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas was knocked out by eighth seed Taylor Fritz 6-2 6-4 while Daniil Medvedev was beaten in straight sets 6-3 6-4 by Holger Rune. After Djokovic’s elimination, both Tsitsipas and Medvedev were considered to be the favourites to win the Monte Carlo Masters but the Greek player was eliminated in just over an hour despite battling back in the second set.
