According to a press release by Sri Lanka Cricket, the National Selectors have released 5 players from the current Sri Lankan Test Squad ahead of the 2nd test against England in Galle. Dimuth Karunaratne has been dropped due to an injury, Kusal Mendis, Minod Bhanuka, Lahiru Kumara and Nuwan Pradeep have alsol headed home on Tuesday night. The players will now return to training at the High Performance Center in Colombo. Dinesh Chandimal will continue to lead the Sri Lankan team in the absence of Dimuth Karunaratne in the 2nd test as well. The 2nd and final test of the series will be played at Galle International Stadium from 22-26 January, 2021 with England leading the series 1-0.
