Sevilla look to win the Europa League for the 7th time while Juve want to end the season on a high

Sevilla are looking to keep their unbeaten run alive at the Sanchez-Pizjuan while Juventus want to win the Europa League trophy for the first time in their clubs history

(Football news) The Europa League semi-final clash between Juventus and Sevilla is finely poised after the first leg as both the teams battle it out for a place in the final. A disappointing 1-1 draw in Turin last week left both sides confident of coming out on top at the Sanchez-Pizjuan, where Sevilla have never lost a tie in this competition. Sevilla have gone through in all nine of their knockout matches at home in the second leg, during an era of which they have dominated the Europa league..

The six-time winners have gone on to win 24 of their last 27 Europa League matches at the Sanchez-Pizjuan. Sevilla were heading towards a historic win but they let their advantage slip right at the death, when Federico Gatti scored an equaliser in the 96th min. The Andalucians club are on their third head coach of the season, but are peaking at the right time. The month started with a home defeat to Girona but now have ended this month with a seven-match unbeaten streak which has elevated them to 10th place in the table.

Sevilla possible starting lineup:

Bounou; Navas, Gudelj, Bade, Acuna; Fernando, Rakitic; Ocampos, Lamela, Gil; En-Nesyri

After salvaging a precious draw at Turin as Juve will have to travel to Spain with the weight of having won only two in their last 17 away games against Spanish sides in knockout competition. They have lost 12 times and kept just one clean sheet in the process. The Old Lady have seen off Nantes, Freiburg and Sporting CP in this year’s Europa League but fell in the Coppa Italia semi-finals and in the Serie A they are second with 69 points.

Juventus have had their 15-point penalty overturned but they still could face a punishment that could see them being stripped of a top-four domestic finish. Three straight wins over the likes of Lecce, Atalanta and Cremonese, sees Allegri’s side eight points clear of fifth-placed Milan with only three games left to play. However, with the uncertainty over their league position they will be doubly determined to defeat Sevilla and not only claim some silverware but also return to the Champions League

Juventus possible starting lineup:

Szczesny; Danilo, Gatti, Sandro; Cuadrado, Fagioli, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Di Maria; Vlahovic
