(Football news) 64-year-old Luciano Spalletti led Napoli to its first Serie A championship in 33 years during his second year there. With five rounds remaining, they prevailed. On the way to a transfer market symposium on Monday, Spalletti stated, “I’m a little fatigued and I want to be with my daughter Matilde. On Sunday, Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, announced on RAI state television that Spalletti had asked for a year of vacation.

“Sometimes you leave someone you love,” Spalletti said. “A city like Naples deserves much more than the norm. You’ve got to ask yourself if we’re still up to the task or not. And since I don’t think that will be the case, I’m taking a step back.”
