(Cricket News) Rinku Singh has already garnered a substantial fan base among Indian supporters, all thanks to his impressive display of hitting five consecutive sixes in IPL 2023.

Representing the Kolkata Knight Riders, he delivered an extraordinary performance during the final over against the Gujarat Titans, propelling his team to an exhilarating victory with his five successive sixes.

Reflecting on that momentous occasion, Rinku Singh emphasized that it had a profound and lasting impact on his life. He acknowledged how those five sixes had become a pivotal turning point for him, forever shaping his identity in the eyes of people. The recognition and affection he received from fans for that achievement were something he deeply cherished.

In a conversation with his fellow Indian teammate Ravi Bishnoi on BCCI.tv, Rinku shared his sentiments, remarking on the memorable experience. 

Rinku’s standout performance did not go unnoticed, and he has been selected for his debut appearance in the Indian team during the ongoing T20I series in Ireland. In the matches played thus far, he has contributed admirably, scoring 38 runs at an impressive strike rate of 180.90.

Discussing his batting approach, Rinku explained that his strategy is to remain at the crease until the conclusion of the match, and in the latter stages, he aims to unleash powerful shots.

“I was filled with anticipation to bat in the initial match of the series (1st T20I). Although the play got rained out, it’s all right; the most important thing is that we emerged victorious,” Rinku expressed. “My intention is to always stay at the crease throughout, much like my approach in the IPL. During the final couple of overs, I focus on executing my shots. The key is to maintain composure and remain composed, and that’s exactly what I was doing,” he elaborated.

The manner in which this young Indian squad has conducted themselves in Ireland has left Rinku impressed, securing an insurmountable 2-0 advantage in the three-match series.

“We’ve consistently demonstrated strong cricket skills. Clinching the series victory is a remarkable achievement, and our aim is to conclude the series on a positive note,” Rinku concluded.
