(Cricket News) Shubman Gill, the Indian batter, climbed one position in the ICC rankings for ODI cricket batters, securing the fourth spot. Alongside this rise, both pacer Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Ravi Bishnoi also experienced improvements in the T20 format.

In the most recent ICC ODI rankings update, which followed the first ODI between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Gill’s rating points reached 743, propelling him to become India’s highest-ranked batter.

Jasprit Bumrah, making a comeback and captaining the Indian team for the Ireland series, advanced by seven places to reach the 84th position. Meanwhile, Ravi Bishnoi’s ranking soared by 17 spots, placing him at the 65th position.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, after scoring 58 runs in the second T20I against Ireland, surged up the rankings by an impressive 143 places, landing at the 87th position.

Even though he didn’t participate in the Ireland series, Suryakumar Yadav maintains his position as the leading batter in the T20I rankings. In the realm of ODIs, Pakistan’s Babar Azam holds the first place while Imam Ul Haq occupies the third spot; however, there has been no alteration for India’s stalwarts, with Virat Kohli retaining the ninth spot and captain Rohit Sharma the 11th.

In the Test format, the Indian spin duo consisting of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja hold the prestigious positions of the world’s number one bowler and all-rounder, respectively.
