The Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) 2023-24 chapter concluded in Chennai with N.L.C. Girls Hr. Sec. School winning the U-15 girls’ age category at the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) Nehru Park on December 27, Wednesday.

(Cricket News) Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) defeated Auxilium Girls Hr. Sec School by 10-0 in their final group stage match to emerge as the champions. Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Girls Hr. Sec. School secured the second place in the league table and were hence adjudged as the runners-up.

The N.L.C. Girls Hr. Sec. School also won the U-19 girls’ age category, whereas the Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Girls Hr. Sec. School finished as the runners-up.

Amongst the boys, the Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School ended up as the table-toppers and won the U-15 age-category. Lalaji Memorial Omega International School claimed the second place in the rankings.

“The Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) is an excellent initiative, helping school and college children in the city play the sport competitively. Our players gained a lot of valuable experience and opportunity to participate in meaningful matches. I hope more such tournaments are held to get more players across cities play football at the highest level,” Jeyasingh, coach of the Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, mentioned.

Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS) won the boys’ U-21 age category, whereas SRM Institute of Science and Technology came up as the runners-up.
