Real Madrid to not make any signing in 2023 after Joselu

Florentino Perez was recorded saying to a fan that Real Madrid will make any more signings this summer

(Football news) Real Madrid has officially confirmed the signing of Striker Joselu. Los Blancos will pay Espanyol €500K as a loan fee to Espanyol and they will also have €1.5M buy option which won’t be mandatory. The signing was a good one for Real Madrid considering that he was replacing Mariano. However now by the looks of it, he may be Karim Benzema’s replacement. Real Madrid are reportedly very desperate to sign Kylian Mbappe either this summer or the next. They don’t want to sign someone expensive that will put Mbappe’s potential arrival in danger. That is a dangerous tactic to apply which could cost them dearly this coming season.

Florentino Perez was recently asked by a fan if there will be any other signings after Joselu arrives. The Real Madrid president replied with a firm no which is really concerning for Real Madrid fans. Joselu was the third top goalscorer in La Liga behind Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema. He is a good addition to the side but he is not the ideal man to be a starting striker for Real Madrid. The Merengues as of now only have 4 first-team attackers in the side which is far too less for a club that will be playing 4 competitions next season.

Perez may well have been saying it just for the sake of it but Real Madrid are not making any significant moves. Harry Kane and Kai Havertz were names that came up but now they have been disregarded. Kylian Mbappe’s situation is tricky but the player himself has said that he wants to stay at Paris Saint-Germain so it is unlikely that he will come this summer unless PSG forces him to leave. There is still a lot of time left in the market and Real Madrid could make a late dash for a forward.
