Here’s why it’s a good decision from Real Madrid to not enter a bidding war for Jude Bellingham

Jude Bellingham - Real Madrid

(Football news)Jude Bellingham is probably the most sought after player in the world. He has taken the Bundesliga and the Champions League by storm since coming to Borussia Dortmund. Now at the age of 19 with two and a half years left on his current contract, he has been one of the best players at the World Cup in Qatar. According to multiple reports the Englishman is keen on a transfer to a big club and is studying his options. Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are all interested in the midfielder.

After Qatar, we’ll have a discussion about what Jude Bellingham actually wants. He should just tell us whether he wants to stay or leave. If the really big clubs are involved, then we can’t afford to have a fight financially

Before the World Cup Jude Bellingham was said to be Real Madrid’s priority but now things have changed. His performance at the World Cup has surely increased Borussia Dortmund’s asking price. According to reliable reports it is now said that Real Madrid are now pessimistic about the signing as they do not want to enter a bidding. The other reason is that because the player and his family prefer a move back to England which is understandable. Now Liverpool are in pole position to get his signature.

Real Madrid in the past few years have moved past buying Galacticos phase. They now prefer to buy young prodigies and make them into Galacticos. Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga are prime examples. By the looks of it Jude Bellingham’s could up to £150M in transfer fee alone. There is a high chance that Bellingham lives up to that price tag but there is also a high chance that Madrid could buy someone cheaper who could match Bellingham’s level in a couple of years.

Real Madrid have young midfielders like Fede Valverde, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are showing no signs of slowing down and could go another season with Los Blancos. Bellingham could’ve been a surplus to requirements anyway even though he is a generational talent. Real Madrid are very close to signing another Brazilian wonderkid named Endrick who has attracted attention from almost every big club in Europe.
