(Football news) Real Madrid in the past decade have won 5 Champions League titles which is an insane achievement. However, one trophy which always seems to be difficult for Real Madrid to achieve is the Copa Del Rey. Los Blancos haven’t won the Spanish Cup since 2014. Now they have a golden opportunity as they take on Osasuna in the final.

All the Real Madrid news this past week has been regarding the potential arrival of Jude Bellingham but Real Madrid’s form on the pitch has been concerning as they lost 2-0 to Real Sociedad midweek. They have been inconsistent in the League but this group of players always turn up in knockout games.

Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius Jr, Karim Benzema, Ferland Mendy, David Alaba, Luka Modric and Fede Valverde. Everyone apart from Mendy is expected to return to the starting line-up or at least the bench. A week ago it looked like Luka Modric wouldn’t play any part but after seeing a specialist he has recovered once again showing his commitment and excellent physic at the age of 38.

Carlo Ancelotti has said that he wouldn’t risk the Croatian but if the player says he’s fine then Modric will play. David Alaba has just about recovered from his injury but Carlo Ancelotti has already confirmed that he will start the game. Osasuna on the other hand will be without long term absentees Darko Brasanac and Nacho Vidal however David Garcia is all set to return.

Real Madrid’s Copa Del Rey campaign has been filled with drama. They came back from a goal down to win against Villarreal, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. The 4-0 win at the Camp Nou in the semi final 2nd leg was a statement. Now it is crucial that the finish the job otherwise it would definitely be considered a failure. Osasuna have never won a major trophy in their 102 year history and to beat Real Madrid to break that drought would be some achievement.
