Real Madrid host Real Betis, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona travel away

(Football news) Real Madrid and Real Madrid Betis are the only two teams with 9 points in 3 games. The two sides will now go head to head at the Santiago Bernabeu to try and keep their 100% record intact. The recent matches of this fixture have been a snooze fest. The last 3 times these two clashed in Madrid it was a goalless draw. Betis won 2-0 in 2018/19 and 1-0 in 2017/18 meaning that Real Madrid haven't scored in a home game against Betis since 2016/17. Los Blancos will be keen to change that this time around in their first home game of the season.

Nacho, Alvaro Odriozola and Jesus Vallejo missed the last game against Espanyol and there is no clarity on their availability yet. Rodrygo made an impact when he came on against Espanyol and he could start on the right wing. Betis will be without the injured Martin Montoya and Victor Camarasa while German Pezzella will also be missing due to suspension. Carlo Ancelotti will be confident after his team got another late victory last time out.

After their 1-0 win away at Valencia, Atletico Madrid will travel to Real Sociedad. Both the sides are currently on 6 points after losing a game each. Diego Simeone will be without Stefan Savic who is still injured and Nahuel Molina is suspended. New signing Sergio Reguilon is on the sidelines with an injury and will not be able to make his debut until later. It will be interesting to see if Simeone starts Antoine Griezmann as the striker has been great as a substitute so far this season. Martin Merquelanz, Carlos Fernandez and Diego Rico will not be available for Real Sociedad through injury.

After drawing their first game against Rayo Vallecano, Barcelona have recovered well with 2 comfortable wins. Now Barcelona face their toughest challenge yet as they play away at Sevilla. Xavi will have a full strength squad to choose from but it may be too soon to select new signings Hector Bellerin and Marcos Alonso. Andreas Christensen has recovered from his illness and could be back in the line-up. With 7 new signings it will be interesting to see how Xavi uses his players. Sevilla will be without Marcao and Jesus Corona while Karim Rekik is a major doubt.
