According to Patrick Berger, Bayer Leverkusen is interested in Arda Güler of Real Madrid as part of a possible Florian Wirtz trade.

It’s obvious that B04 is considering their options following Wirtz, since his exit appears increasingly likely to occur next summer. The attacking midfielder is currently being pursued by Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Güler was already admired by B04 prior to his transfer from Fenerbahçe to Real Madrid. It is believed that Güler may decide to move to Leverkusen if Wirtz decides to join Madrid in the summer and he wants to play regular games.

Real Madrid has no plans to sell the Turkish international this winter, and the 19-year-old’s contract with the team expires in 2029.

Even if Güler and head coach Carlo Ancelotti get along well, Leverkusen would be there if a position opened up this summer and he wanted to play frequently at the highest level.

Although B04 has already gotten in touch with the player’s family and representatives, they have not yet held official negotiations with Real.

The move might be similar to that of Dani Carvajal (32) who made the transition from Real to Bayer and went on to have a successful career.
