Brazil defeated Colombia in an exciting match during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers thanks to a spectacular goal from Vinicius Jr. in the final minute.  Tensions between the two teams were high, as is usual in CONMEBOL games, and there were a lot of yellow cards.  Several Brazilian players, including Vinicius, were on the brink of suspension and risked missing the crucial clash against Argentina.  Despite the looming threat, Vinicius danced dangerously close to fate and the referee, much to the dismay of his teammate, Raphinha.

Vinicius was set to be replaced by Dorival to safeguard against a suspension and maintain the fans’ adoration. However, as he was making his way off the field, the real madrid winger decided to turn back and engage in an unnecessary confrontation with Lucimi, who was positioned right between them. Raphinha, a key figure in Brazil’s lineup, quickly intervened, urging Vinicius to exit the pitch to avoid further sanctions. Yet, Vinicius halted again, taking his time to re-tie his shoelaces, seemingly tempting the referee to issue him a card.

This second instance of Vinicius’ antics pushed Raphinha beyond his limits. The Barcelona player sprinted towards his colleague and in a mix of shoves and heated exchanges, forced Vinicius to leave the field.
