PUMA Signs Major Long-Term Deal with Portuguese FA

Portugal, the 2016 European Champions and 2018–19 Nations League winners, have the most social media followers of any national football federation in the world and a devoted following globally because to their compelling style of play.

Arne Freundt, CEO of PUMA, stated, “We were very excited to welcome a team as popular as Portugal to the PUMA Family and signing a top-tier national team was one of our priorities in football.” “We are looking forward to the upcoming big tournaments like the 2026 World Cup, given the large number of fans worldwide and the great potential of the next generation of this squad.”

The agreement gives PUMA the chance to keep making Portuguese football history. The renowned PUMA KING football boot was made for Eusébio, often known as “O Rei” or “The King,” a legendary player who partnered with PUMA in the 1960s. When he guided his team to third place in the 1966 World Cup, Eusébio was the tournament’s top scorer.

Fernando Gomes, the FPF President, stated, “We were drawn to PUMA because of the way they interact with the fans and share the distinctive story of every team they work with.” “With them, we look forward to developing an exciting line of products that will appeal to our sizable global fan base.”
