(Cricket News) In a match against Australia on Tuesday in Guwahati, Prasidh Khan was hit for 68 runs in his four allotted overs. Krishna was also hit very hard, with a massive 23 runs off his final over alone, allowing power-hitter Glenn Maxwell to lead Australia to a memorable victory.

This is a disappointing milestone for Krishna, who had to face Glenn Maxwell’s wrath in the game’s crucial final over. Krishna’s costly spell also ranks among the worst by a bowler in the history of T20Is; the top spot goes to Sri Lanka’s Kasun Rajitha, who was hit for an incredible 75 runs against Australia in 2019.

This unfortunate spell also places him as the Indian bowler with the most runs given away in a single T20I game. Previously, this record was held by Yuzvendra Chahal, who conceded 64 runs against South Africa in a match back in 2018.

Most Runs Conceded by an Indian Bowler in T20Is:

  1. Prasidh Krishna – 0/68 vs Australia (2023)
  2. Yuzvendra Chahal – 0/64 vs South Africa (2018)
  3. Arshdeep Singh – 2/62 vs South Africa (2022)
  4. Joginder Sharma – 0/57 vs England (2007)
