Pakistan's Bowling Coach Morne Morkel Resigns from Post.

Unexpectedly, veteran South African fast bowler Morne Morkel has submitted his resignation from his position as Pakistan Cricket Team’s bowling coach. The announcement follows Pakistan’s underwhelming showing in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, which has left the team looking for a new bowling unit coach.

After accepting the coaching role in June of this year for a six-month period, Morkel has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in writing of his desire to leave the role.

During his playing career, Morkel was renowned for his dangerous pace and bounce. He entered the coaching profession with the intention of passing along his knowledge to the upcoming cricket players. The former Proteas speedster had been actively involved in developing a culture of competition and talent development among young Pakistani pacers through mentoring.

Finding a suitable substitute in time for Pakistan’s next fixtures is now the PCB’s responsibility. The cricket board faces an additional hurdle as a result of the abrupt vacancy in the coaching staff. Quick decisions will be needed to maintain the team’s preparations.
