On June 23, at ONE Friday Fights 22, Arjan Bhullar and Anatoly Malykhin will unify the ONE Heavyweight World Title

Arjan Bhullar of India, the current divisional champion, and interim champion Anatoly Malykhin of Russia will square off in the much awaited ONE Heavyweight World Title

(Combat sports news) At ONE: DANGAL in May 2021, Bhullar defeated Filipino-American legend Brandon “The Truth” Vera to win the coveted World Title gold. The Canadian-Indian star has been sidelined since then due to various reasons, but he is now prepared to fight again and wants to establish himself as the heavyweight king.

Malykhin has remained extremely busy throughout Bhullar’s absence. The bulky Russian has become one of the most dominant forces in MMA with a perfect 12-0 professional record and a 100% finishing percentage.

Malykhin won the ONE Interim Heavyweight World Title in February 2022 after stopping Kirill Grishenko at ONE: BAD BLOOD. Then, at ONE on Prime Video 5, in December 2022, “Sladkiy” defeated Reinier “The Dutch Knight” de Ridder to win the light heavyweight title, making him a two-division ONE World Champion.

The undisputed ONE Heavyweight World Title will be on the line when Bhullar and Malykhin square off in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 22 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, June 23.
