Warriors snap their 11 game losing streak away from home while the Jazz still remain in the playoff hunt

(Basketball news) The Golden State Warriors thrashed the Houston Rockets as they beat them 121-108. For the Warriors, Stephen Curry scored 30 points and Klay Thompson added 29 while Kuminga had 17 points off the bench and Kevon Looney had 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Golden State Warriors snapped their 11-game road losing streak. For the Rockets, Tari Eason got 21 points and 12 rebounds as Jalen Green added 20 points while Porter scored 17 points with five rebounds and five assists. The Warriors, who moved into sixth place in the Western Conference with the win, have been great at home this season (29-7) but have struggled on the road, where Monday’s win improved them to just 8-29.

“It’s been a long time,” coach Steve Kerr said. “I don’t remember the last road game we won. It’s been a while.”

“We know we still have to play better,” Curry said. “Nobody’s really celebrating anything.”

“Just us being careless a little bit,” he said. “Fatigue set in a little bit from playing (Sunday) against that tough Pelicans team. We fought … but came up short.”

The Utah Jazz caused a massive upset when they beat the in-form Sacramento Kings 128-124. For the Jazz, Ochai Agbaji scored a career-high 27 points, including six 3-pointers as Kelly Olynyk had 19 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists while Kris Dunn added 18 points and a season-high 10 assists as Udoka Azubuike chipped in with a career-high 13 points and a season-best eight rebounds. For the Kings, De’Aaron Fox had 37 points and seven assists while Keegan Murray added 22 points as Harrison Barnes scored 16 points and Malik Monk added 15 points. Jazz are now level with Timberwolves and Lakers in 10th place

I kind of saw that as my own race, starting there,” Agbaji said. “My expectations were a little bit different coming in, but starting there, I had to be fine with it, had to go with it, had to give it my all and have a positive attitude while I was doing it.”

“You can’t trick a defense,” Kings coach Mike Brown said. “You’ve just got to just run your stuff. If you run your stuff, somebody’s going to get an open shot.”

“We lost this game in the first quarter,” Fox said. “We shot ourselves in the foot. Obviously we fought back, but you don’t want to be in that type of position.”

“A lot of teams want to attack inside in the last moments just because you’re trying to foul,” Kessler said. “I happened to be there. I liked my chances to block the shot.”
