(Football news) Napoli are having an incredible 2022/23 season. They are 18 points clear on top of the Serie A table with just 12 games to go. Now they have a chance to make it even better by qualifying for the UEFA Champions League quarter finals for the 1st time in their history. Napoli have only ever won 1 European Cup which was the UEFA Cup way back in 1988/89 when Diego Maradona was still around.

They got an impressive 2-0 win at the Deutsch Bank stadium and now they just need to get the job done at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. Napoli did suffer a loss against Lazio but then they recovered well with a win against Atalanta on the weekend. Napoli will be without Giacomo Raspadori, who is still unavailable due to injury. Mario Rui who was suspended for the last 2 domestic fixtures will be back and is likely to start the game.

Kim Min Jae was taken off due to a knock against Atalanta but he should be fit enough to start while Hirving Lozano who didn’t play against Atalanta could return to the bench. As for Frankfurt the biggest miss will be Randall Kolo Muani who was shown a straight red card in the 1st leg. Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe and Jesper Lindstrom are also unavailable due to injury.

Frankfurt’s biggest challenge will be to make Napoli uncomfortable at their home ground. The duo Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the most destructive in world football right now and keeping them quiet is going to be quite a challenge. Mario Gotze will be very key for Frankfurt and he will have to play well if his side is to win. Napoli are firm favorites to win but Frankfurt has won games like this before. The German club won at the Camp Nou in the Europa League last season and they will be looking to pull off something similar this time in the Champions League.
