Napoli face giant killers Sassuolo while AC Milan travel to Turin

(Football news) After setting a new club record with their 12th straight win, Napoli aim to extend that streak at home to giant killers Sassuolo on Saturday. The Serie A leaders continue their Scudetto challenge at the Stadio Maradona, where they defeated Rangers 3-0 in the Champions League, and now face a mid-table side Sassuolo who are desperately seeking some consistency. Napoli can concentrate fully on their first Serie A title for over three decades, with a crucial late winner from  Victor Osimhen securing a crucial victory in the Derby del Sole.

The Azzurri have not dropped points since August, and saw them sit three points clear of defending champions Milan at the top of the Serie A standings. Spalletti would now equal his best winning streak as Napoli coach if they win over Sassuolo, having won his first eight matches in charge last season. Napoli are brave at the back and have a fearsome frontline, the Campanian club are the only unbeaten side in Serie A, and only Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are the teams who are unbeaten across the top five European leagues. Napoli have not lost in their last 15 matches while winning 13 times in the process, and the streak started back in April and subsequently with a 6-1 victory against Sassuolo.

Napoli possible starting lineup:

Meret; Di Lorenzo, Kim, Jesus, Olivera; Ndombele, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia

Sassuolo possible starting lineup:

Consigli; Toljan, Erlic, Ferrari, Rogerio; Frattesi, Lopez, Thorstvedt; D'Andrea, Pinamonti, Lauriente

AC Milan are on a run of four straight Serie A wins, and are now in pole position to progress in the Champions League knockout stages. AC Milan aim to continue their winning momentum as they visit mid-table Torino. The Rossoneri got a 4-1 win over Monza and followed it up with a thumping midweek victory over Zagreb. Their hosts have bounced back from Derby della Mole defeat by getting wins in both league and cup. The Scudetto holders have scored the most goals from open play in Serie A this season (21).

The result helped the Rossenari as they stayed in touch with early pace-setters Napoli, who lead the standings by three points, and their away form has been consistent as it keeps the champions on their southern rivals' tails. Milan have gone undefeated in their last 17 Serie A away matches; winning 12 times. It is the longest ongoing away run throughout the top five European leagues, and they had a longer streak in the early 90s which was a staggering 38 away games unbeaten under Fabio Capello. While AC Milan have drawn seven of their last 11 league meetings with Torino including the most recent encounter in April, they will be favourites to take three points this time around.

Torino possible starting lineup:

Milinkovic-Savic; Djidji, Schuurs, Rodriguez; Lazaro, Lukic, Linetty, Vojvoda; Radonjic, Vlasic; Pellegri

AC Milan possible starting lineup:
