(Cricket news) Rohit Sharma, captain of the Mumbai Indians, led from the front, smashing a magnificent half-century, his first in 24 innings, and taking home the player of the match award for a record-tying 19th time – the most by an Indian.

Ravi Shastri mentioned this while speaking to Star Sports’ Cricket Live Show, “Rohit Sharma handled the strain against Delhi well. He commanded the team from the front, and the Mumbai Indians will benefit greatly from his game-winning performance. The victory will boost MI’s confidence going into the competition.”

Chennai Super Kings will welcome the dominant Rajasthan Royals at home in a high-stakes match of the TATA IPL 2023 after winning the most recent away game at Wankhede Stadium.

When MS Dhoni comes out for the toss against Rajasthan Royals, he will be leading Chennai Super Kings for the 200th time in yet another historic game. Expect a sizable crowd of supporters to show up to watch their favourite MS Dhoni play a superb knock against a longtime foe.

Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar wants Dhoni to go up in the batting order since the Rajasthan Royals’ bowling attack features two excellent spinners in Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal, who will try to dominate on the spin-friendly Chennai pitch.

Sunil Gavaskar mentioned this while speaking to Star Sports, “I am hopeful that MS Dhoni moves up the batting order. so that he can participate in the games for more than two or three overs. Because he can score significant runs, he can use his hitting to benefit CSK.”

The people of Chennai and Tamil Nadu have adopted Dhoni as their own every time he comes onto the pitch, according to former India batsman Harbhajan Singh, who has previously been a member of the CSK setup.

Harbhajan Singh mentioned this while speaking on Star Sport, “Dhoni was born in Ranchi and continues to reside there, but he also continues to live in Chennai residents’ hearts. Mahi’s comeback to this field is no less than a love tale in itself, whether or not he plays in the IPL again after this season.”
