(Cricket News) Tadiwanashe Marumani, the left hand-batter and Faraz Akram, the all-rounder have been recalled in the Zimbabwe side for their upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. Uncapped player Johnathan Campbell, the son of former captain Alistair Campbell has also been added to squad.

Marumani has been a part of 29 T20Is for the Zimbabwe side. His T20 records has not been very impressive. He has scored a total of 413 runs at an average of just above 15. Akram on the other hand has played just 4 games and picked up a solitary wicket. This series would be a great opportunity for the players a make a mark in the international circuit.

Johnathan Campbell has been rewarded for his contributions in the African games where he helped the Zimbabwe emerging players side to a gold medal. The rest of side for Zimbabwe is the same that toured Sri Lanka earlier this year. Sikandar Raza will continue to lead the side, as Zimbabwe would hope for better results after failing to qualify for the T20 World Cup.

Clive Madande and Brian Bennett the members of the Emerging players squad have managed to retain their spot in the national side. Former player Stuart Matsikenyeri will be in charge of the Zimbabwe side for this series in the absence of a head coach.

Zimbabwe is set to play Bangladesh in a 5-match T20I series. The series will kickstart from the 3rf of May and will be played at two venues. Chattogram will host the initial three games, while Dhaka has been chosen for the last two games of the series.
