(Football news) Rashford was able to reunite with his Man United teammates for the commencement of preseason after being left out of the England squad for Euro 2024. He has participated in two of the team’s three summer friendlies.

The forward, who is 26 years old and only managed eight goals and five assists in 43 games for the Red Devils last season, is still a topic of discussion.

The Englishman is still rumored to be of interest to Paris Saint-Germain, but Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag recently stated that the team does not want to allow the academy product to depart this summer.

Now that Rashford appears to have stated his intention to stay at Old Trafford, the striker is looking to win significant awards while playing for the team.

Rashford focused on the future at Man United

“I think as you get older, your dreams change as well,” Rashford told MUTV. “So, you know, in the beginning it was just about playing for Man United.

“And when you get there, it’s about winning. So I still have, you know, dreams of winning the big trophies, the Premier League and Champions League with Man United. So, you know, hopefully we can get that done.”

Rashford signed a lucrative contract at Old Trafford off the back of his excellent 2022-23 season, with his deal running until June 2028.

The forward will now be aiming to help the Red Devils bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal when their US Tour continues against Real Betis on Wednesday night.

Rashford reflects on Man United’s US Tour

“It’s been good. “I think training has been good. Obviously, we were disappointed not to win the game [against Arsenal], but I think we also got some valuable minutes against a good opposition. So, you know, two halves to take from the game,” he added.

“But we’re obviously looking to win more games going forward. You know, it’s always nice to come back here [to UCLA]. I think they’ve got good facilities. We can get the work that we need to get done in the training sessions.

“So, definitely, it’s always good to come back here. It always seems to go so quickly once we get here. But it’s been enjoyable.

“The stadium was nice. Nice stadium, nice atmosphere. And it’s also good just to play in front of the fans that don’t get to go to Old Trafford week in, week out.”

Man United will face Real Betis and Liverpool in their final two pre-season matches in the United States before heading back to England to prepare for the Community Shield against Manchester City, which will take place on August 10.
