(Football news) Manchester United will host Everton at Old Trafford on Saturday, hoping to extend their fantastic unbeaten run at Old Trafford to 24 games. The Red Devils got back to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Brentford on Wednesday while the Toffees managed to secure a 1-1 draw over Tottenham Hotspur on Monday. Marcus Rashford continued his sensational form this season by finding the back of the net as Manchester United leapfrogged Tottenham to take fourth place.
Erik ten Hag’s side have a realistic possibility of getting two more titles this season and their fate in next year’s Champions League is in their hands. They will take on Sevilla next Thursday in the Europa League Round of 16 at Old Trafford and will be optimistic of a result, especially considering they are unbeaten in 23 successive matches. As for Everton, they secured an impressive 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
In team news for Manchester United, Casemiro will serve the fourth and final game of his suspension while Luke Shaw is doubtful due to a hamstring problem sustained in the first half against Brentford. Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen, Alejandro Garnacho, Donny van de Beek and Tom Heaton are unavailable for selection. Tyrell Malacia might feature at left back while Fred, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Anthony Martial could also be named in the starting lineup.
As for Everton, Andros Townsend is unavailable due to a knee issue while Dominic Calvert-Lewis is still recovering from a thigh injury. Left back Ruben Vinagre will feature in the squad after recovering from a tight Achilles. James Garner could feature against his former club in place of Doucoure while Dyche could bring in Vitaly Mykolenko on the left to a three man central back line.
