(Football news) Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City will aim to secure their 10th successive victory in all competitions when they take on Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to close in on Arsenal while Leicester are currently fighting to stay out of relegation to remain in the Premier League next season. The Citizens are currently competing for the treble and have had a good week, securing victories against Southampton and Bayern Munich.

In team news, Manchester City attacker Phil Foden is recovering from an appendicitis surgery while Kevin De Bruyne is available for selection after recovering from an injury. Guardiola is expected to make some changes with Aymeric Laporte, Kyle Walker and Rico Lewis expected to feature in defence with Haaland leading the line and Riyad Mahrez replacing Bernardo Silva on the right wing.

As for Leicester City, Harvey Barnes and Ricardo Pereira have been ruled out due to hamstring injuries and will join James Justin and Ryan Bertrand, who are both suffering from knee problems in the treatment room. Youri Tielemans will make it to the squad after recovering from an ankle problem while Jonny Evans will hope to start instead of Daniel Amartey or Wout Faes. Kieran Dewsbury-Hall is available after serving his one match ban and could feature instead of Boubakary Soumare while Kelechi Iheanacho will compete against Patson Daka and Jaime Vardy for a place in the attack.
