(Football news) The only thing standing between Manchester City and a historic treble is Inter Milan. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City has been a dominant force for the past 6 years. One thing that stops them from getting into the conversation of the most elite teams to have ever played the game is the fact that City have never won the Champions League. Now they have have a golden opportunity to win the Champions League for the first time ever. The final will be played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

Even though Manchester City are heavy favourites coming into this match, a one off game can go either way. Inter Milan cannot be counted out especially because they have had a really good UCL campaign. The game will most likely be between Manchester City’s attack and Inter Milan’s defence. City will be relentless with their attack and Inter will have to be solid. Having said that, the Nerazzurri also have a potent attack led by Lautaro Martinez. Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne are very difficult to keep hold off but it can be done especially at a neutral venue.

The bigges thing for Man City to overcome their nerves and forget about what has happened to them in this competition in the previous seasons. The first goal will be very crucial because if Manchester City score first then it will be disastrous for Inter. This could be Ilkay Gundogan’s last match as a Manchester City player and he would like to make it memorable.

The German is the in-form player and will be key for his team. Both teams have a few injury doubts as Manchester City’s Kyle Walker is struggling with a back injury while Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Joaquin Correa are doubts for Inter Milan.
