Man Utd face City in a mouthwatering clash while Arsenal take on Spurs

(Football news) The Premier League returns following the international break with a blockbuster North London derby on Saturday. Arsenal welcome Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium. One week after the women's teams made history by beating their North London rivals, the men have the chance to sit pretty at the top of the Premier League table. Arsenal new boy Fabio Vieira last time around scored a brilliant goal as the Gunners ran out 3-0 winners over Brentford on September 18, during which William Saliba and Gabriel Jesus also scored.

The hosts have won in each of their last six Premier League matches at the Emirates, although they have conceded at least one goal in all of these fixtures and Tottenham's famed attacking trio have more than one incentive to silence the home crowd. The Lilywhites on the other hand bounced back from a Champions League disappointment against Sporting Lisbon in a perfect fashion against Leicester, but only two of their last seven matches away from home have ended in victory and the Emirates is not their happiest hunting ground. Last time around a 3-1 Arsenal triumph means that Spurs have failed to win any of their last 11 North London derbies away from home in the Premier League.

Arsenal possible starting lineup:

Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Jesus

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:

Lloris; Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Perisic, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon; Richarlison, Kane, Son

Two bitter city rivals lock horns on Sunday in the Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium. The Red Devils have not featured in the Premier League since defeating Arsenal 3-1 on September 4, while City ran out 3-0 winners over Wolverhampton Wanderers before the international break. The headlines are going to surround Haaland who is now sitting on a remarkable 11 goals for the Premier League season, the 22-year-old scored his side's second in a comprehensive 3-0 win over Wolves as well. It comes as little surprise to learn that Man City are the Premier League's leading scorers, racking up 14 in just three such games and conceding only two goals and all seven wins at home have been accompanied by at least three goals.

The death and state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II meant that the Red Devils will be playing in their first Premier League fixture for nearly a month. Having overseen a dramatic upturn in fortunes at Old Trafford with four consecutive Premier League wins, Erik ten Hag won the Premier League's Manager of the Month award for September after leading his side to fifth in the table. A run of three successive away wins, with three clean sheets, represents a potential recipe for success for Ten Hag but no man since Alex Ferguson has been able to steer the Red Devils to victory in their first Manchester derby in charge.

Manchester City possible starting lineup:

Ederson; Walker, Akanji, Dias, Cancelo; Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Foden, Haaland, Grealish

Manchester United possible starting lineup:

De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Malacia; Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Sancho; Ronaldo
