Lionel Messi agrees to join Paris Saint-Germain on a two year contract

(Football news) In the undoubtedly biggest transfer news of the summer, Lionel Messi has agreed to join Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain on a two year contract with an option for an additional year. Both the parties are now in total agreement after swift action was taken by the PSG board following F.C Barcelona’s announcement that their talisman would not be continuing with the Blaugrana.

Paris Saint-Germain have offered Lionel Messi around 35 million euros per season inclusive of add-ons with fellow countryman and manager Mauricio Pochettino keen to bring the six time Ballon D’or winner to the French capital. The 34 year old will team up with Neymar and Mbappe in arguably the most formidable strike partnership in the world. PSG have been very active in the transfer window so far, having already signed Georginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Ramos and Gianluigi Donnarumma so far in their pursuit of the elusive Champions League trophy.
