Lamine Yamal Returns to Barça Training!

Following a week-long Christmas break, FC Barcelona resumed work this Sunday with the customary open training session. In a joyous mood, the team was welcomed to wrap out a very complex December in La Liga, and the Barça supporters were treated to a very unique surprise during the day. After working on the field for over an hour and a half, Lamine Yamal returned to the Johan Cruyff to spend some time with the spectators, who were primarily kids who flocked to the Estadi’s stands to snap pictures and get signatures from their heroes.

Together with the other injured players, the ’19’ took to the field wearing training gear. The Mataró athlete was escorted by Ter Stegen, Ferran Torres, Héctor Fort, and Marc Bernal to greet a crowd that became louder as soon as they saw the young player rejoin the club. The winger’s injury to his right ankle sustained in the match against Atletico de Madrid a few weeks ago at Montjuïc will initially keep him out until mid-January.

Lamine Yamal is prepared to resume his recuperation in Barcelona.

Having spent time with his family in Dubai and won the Globe Soccer Awards’ ‘Best Emerging Player’ prize, Lamine went back to Barcelona to recuperate more. The 17-year-old kid will try to be available for the Supercopa de España competition, which will take place in Arabia from January 8 to 12, even though Hansi Flick will not risk starting him against Athletic Club in the “semis.”

Apart from Yamal, the supporters enthusiastically applauded the Barça coach and the team’s current sensation, Dani Olmo. After LaLiga authorizes the paperwork pertaining to the proceeds from the sale of VIP boxes at Spotify Camp Nou, Barça and the attacking midfielder anticipate resolving his registration between Monday and Tuesday.

Over the past few seasons, Barça has continued to have the open training session before the year ends. The FC Barcelona Foundation hosted the event, which contributed to the fundraising efforts for the “Pulseras Blaugranas” program, which supports children and adolescents in Catalan care facilities.
