(Motorsports news) Kush Maini will be in Formula 2 next year as part of Campos Racing. The Indian racer was in Formula 3 last season and he finished 14th overall last year, with one podium appearance. Maini will partner the experienced Swiss driver Ralph Boschung at Campos Racing next year. Kush shares a family connection with the team as his older brother Arjun Maini also raced for them in F2 back in 2019 for a brief period. Both Maini and Boschung carried out pre-season testing for Campos on November 23-25 at the Abu Dhabi track.
The 22 year old rookie Maini made his single-seater debut in 2016 as he raced in the Italian F4 Championship. He then went on to race in Formula Renault Eurocup and British Formula 3, where he finished an impressive second in 2020. He made his F3 debut last year and was 14th in the drivers’ standings.
