Juventus take on Roma as Inter face Lazio away from home

(Football news) Both sides are unbeaten in their first two games as Lazio host Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday night. Two of Serie A's top teams play at the capital, with the hosts having taken four points from their first two fixtures and the visitors winning both their matches. While Lazio had to scrap their way to victory on the opening day, Inter on the other hand saw off Spezia 3-0 in Milan.

Last season top scorer Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring in the first half when he combined well with Romelu Lukaku as Hakan Calhanoglu and Joaquin Correa sealed the deal during the second half. After two relatively easy fixtures to kick off the 2022-23 season, in which they reclaimed top spot. Inter are now set for a trip to the capital which should fully test them although they have won each of their last three away games in Serie A, stretching back to last season, but they are yet to win four in a row under Inzaghi. After defeating Lecce and Spezia, Inzaghi's men have now won 10 of their last 11 in Serie A games, so they arrive at the Olimpico full of confidence that they can keep their perfect start going and extend their lead at the top of the table.

Lazio possible starting lineup:

Provodel; Lazzarri, Romagnoli, Patric, Marusic; Vecino, Cataldi, Milinkovic-Savic; Pedro, Immobile, Zaccagni

Inter Milan possible starting lineup:

Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Calhanoglu, Brozovic, Barella, Dimarco; Martinez, Lukaku

This an early clash between two potential title contenders as Juventus host fellow Scudetto hopefuls Roma at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday. The teams face each other at Turin with the visitors having gathered maximum points, while Juve followed victory on Serie A's opening day with a disappointing draw last time match. Juventus found themselves on the back foot for much of the first half in Monday's stalemate with Sampdoria, before they settled for a point during the second half. Max Allegri's men were without the magic of summer signings Angel Di Maria and Paul Pogba to inspire them and create chances for a frustrated Dusan Vlahovic, who barely had a shoot on target.

Following wins at home and away last season, the Bianconeri now have gone on to win 85 of their 176 top-flight encounters with Roma, including winning the last three matches. Not only that but they have been denied maximum points only once in 11 meetings at the Allianz Stadium. But this time around Juve's visitors from the capital are in top form as Paulo Dybala's return to Turin will be one of the biggest story.

Juventus possible starting lineup:

Szczesny; Danilo, Bonucci, Bremer, Sandro; Miretti, Locatelli, Rabiot; Cuadrado, Vlahovic, Kostic

Roma possible starting lineup:

Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Karsdorp, Matic, Cristante, Spinazzola; Pellegrini, Dybala; Abraham
