(Cricket News) In his illustrious career, veteran England pacer James Anderson is about to reach yet another significant milestone. The 41-year-old is presently playing for the English squad in India as they prepare for a five-game Test series against the team captained by Rohit Sharma.
The series has now seen four games, and both teams are getting ready for their March 7 showdown at Dharamshala’s HPCA Stadium. Since Anderson will be playing for the 400th time on the international scene, the match will be very memorable for him.
With 664 appearances, Sachin Tendulkar leads the list of players who have reached the milestone, and the English pacer will be the 39th player to do so. Having taken 985 wickets in 186 Tests, 194 ODIs, and 19 T20Is, Anderson has played for England thus far. It will be his 187th Test match when they play India in the fifth Test.
Anderson’s discography includes multiple releases. With 698 wickets under his belt, he is the all-time leading fast bowler in Test cricket. Moreover, he needs just 11 more wickets to surpass the record held by the late Shane Warne.
