(Cricket News) A week after the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA concluded, Zimbabwe will host India for a five-match Twenty20 International series. The five matches, which will take place in Harare from July 6 to 14, will be played in daytime sessions, with the first four scheduled to start at 1 pm local time, and the third, and only night match, at 6 pm.
The last time the two teams met in a format-specific match was during India’s August 2022 tour of Zimbabwe for three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), which they won 3-0. Since then, the two teams have only played eight T20Is, with India emerging victorious in six of them.
Zimbabwe was not selected for the T20 World Cup this year, despite the fact that up to 20 teams will be playing in the competition for the first time; prior to that, they had also been eliminated from the 2023 ODI World Cup.
