Rahul Dravid couldn't have asked for a better start to his career as India's coach. New Zealand failed to win a single game on the tour T20 or Test with their best performance coming in Kanpur where they pulled off a gritty draw. The black caps will now travel home to prepare for their Test series against Bangladesh. As for India, they have a very important 3-match series in South Africa in just 10 days time.

The selection committee has a huge dilemma in front of them. Virat Kohli and Rahul Dravid have a lot of work to do in terms of selection and finding the right balance. India has never won a Test series in South Africa but now might be the best time to do it. The squad is likely to be announced in a couple of days where the rested players are expected to return.
