India women and England women have both won their 2 games, the winner between them will virtually secure qualification to the Semi finals

(Cricket news) India women will be taking on England women for a place at the top of the Group B table. Currently both the teams are on 4 points having won both their matches but England have a much better NRR. India women didn’t win games against Pakistan and West Indies as comfortably as they would’ve liked. A win over England would be a massive step forward for India women. England haven’t put a foot wrong in the tournament so far but India will challenge them a lot more.

India women possible playing XI:

Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur(c), Richa Ghosh (wk), Devika Vaidya, Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar, Radha Yadav, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Renuka Singh Thakur

Bench: Harleen Deol, Yastika Bhatia, Anjali Sarvani, Shikha Pandey

India are likely to retain the same line-up as they played in the last game. They do have only 2 seamers but it seems to be the combination that India women are going to go with. Leaving out Shikha Pandey will be a difficult call and it will become more difficult as the tournament progresses.

Richa Ghosh is coming into the game in red hot form and she will once again be very key for India. India’s bowling still has a lot of room for improvement especially in the middle overs. India’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and her deputy Smriti Mandhana have not yet got going in the World Cup and this would be the perfect match for them to lead from the front.

England women possible playing XI:

Danielle Wyatt, Sophia Dunkley, Alice Capsey, Natalie Sciver-Brunt, Heather Knight (c), Amy Jones (wk), Sophie Ecclestone, Charlotte Dean, Katherine Sciver-Brunt, Sarah Glenn, Lauren Bell

Bench: Maia Bouchier, Freya Davies, Kate Cross, Lauren Winfield-Hill

England have played the same team for the 2 matches so far and the team pretty much picks itself. The spin duo of Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn will have a big task in hand against a very attacking batting line-up of India women. The battle between Shafali Verma and Katherine Sciver-Brunt has always provided box office entertainment and it will once again be the one to look out for.
