(Cricket news) India women are currently 2-1 down in the 5 match T20I series against the mighty Australia. So far the women in blue have played some good cricket but Australia have proved to be too good for them. Now they play the 4th T20I for survival as a win for Australia will seal the series for them. India will be looking to level the series and take it to the decider match.
India women will have to be better in crunch situations especially in the field which has often let them down. The series is a great preparation for the T20 World Cup next year for both the sides and a win for either side will be a massive boost.
India Women’s possible playing XI:
Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur, Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, Devika Vaidya, Radha Yadav, Anjali Sarvani, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Renuka Singh Thakur
Bench: Harleen Deol, Yastika Bhatia, S Meghana, Meghna Singh
India women have no reason to change their Playing XI as the combination isn’t the issue. Playing 2 seamers is working well for the bowling department while the batting is also deep enough. Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur will be under pressure, having failed to get runs in the series so far. Anjali Sarvani looks to have gotten into her rhythm at the international stage which is incredible news for India.
Australia Women’s possible playing XI:
Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Tahlia McGrath, Ashleigh Gardner, Grace Harris, Annabel Sutherland, Alana King, Megan Schutt, Darcie Brown, Heather Graham
Bench: Amanda Wellington, Phoebe Litchfield, Nicola Carey, Kim Garth
Australia have chopped and changed their playing XI quite a few times in this series. Nicola Carey was expensive in the last match and is unlikely to keep her place. Australia have played some really good cricket in this series and a lot of that is because of the incredible depth they have. Jess Jonassen’s absence due to a hamstring injury is a big miss for Australia but they have enough firepower to cover for the veteran.
