India looks forward to hit back in fourth test at the Oval as England hopes to maintain momentum

(Cricket news): The Indian squad will be prepared to stage a comeback against England in the fourth test at Oval tomorrow. England on the other hand will try their best to continue where they left off in the third test. Jos Butler won't be playing in the Test, instead Jonny Bairstow will keep behind the stumps. There are a few players to watch out for as they have been playing well in the series.

James Anderson and Ollie Robinson

England’s bowling department has been phenomenal this series as they have given no room for the batsmen to find their form. Anderson and Robinson have accounted for 29 wickets in the series. Both of them have been troubling the batsmen with their swing and speed. Robinson took five wickets in the second inning of the third test and scalped Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant on his way to become the player of the match. Anderson has 400 wickets at home so he knows the pitch from the back of his head and is not friendly when visitors come home. His fitness is commendable as he has bowled over 100 overs this series.

Joe Root

Joe Root is the highest run getter in this series with 507 runs and has a 250 run lead over second placed KL Rahul. Although he has received support from his teammates, the second highest run getter in the England side is Jonny Bairstow with 147 runs. Root has single handedly led the team in the batting department as he has a century in every test and will be eagerly waiting for his fourth century.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj

The Indian bowling has seen fine performances from the youngsters as they have been aggressive and quite effective in this series. Bumrah has 14 wickets as for Siraj has taken 13 wickets, Siraj especially has impressed in the series given his experience in the side. Bumrah has found his yorkers working as they leave the batsmen speechless. The speedster has led the bowling line up with raw pace and toe crushing balls. Both of them have successfully cleaned up the top order and will look to restrict Joe Root in the fourth test.

Rohit Sharma

The Hitman is one of the best players in the ODI format but in this series has made himself quite a dependable test batsmen. He has led the batting line even though he has found himself with no partners at the other end. Rohit has shown patience and grit right from the 1st test match and has been playing on  defense since then, he will be looking to score his first test century outside India and also against England in tests.
