(Cricket news) The first two T20Is haven't gone India's way and now they find themselves in a do or die situation. The men in blue now have to win all the remaining matches in order to win the series. South Africa on the other hand need one win to clinch the trophy and beat India in all 3 formats in the same year. India have retained the same line-up in the two games so far but they will have to make some changes in the next one.
India's possible playing XI:
Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Dinesh Karthik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh
Bench: Axar Patel, Venkatesh Iyer, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal, Harshal Patel.
India's bowling performance has not been upto the mark so far therefore changes are expected. Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh could be given their debuts while Ravi Bishnoi is likely to come back into the lineup. Axar Patel has failed to contribute with ball and bat. Even though he doesn't have a direct replacement Deepak Hooda is close enough. He will give the batting more depth and his off spin is handy. Hardik Pandya has shown that he is more than capable of completing his 4 over quota.
South Africa possible playing XI:
Temba Bavuma, Quinton de Kock, Dwaine Pretorius, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen, Wayne Parnell, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Tabraiz Shamsi, Anrich Nortje
Bench:, Lungi Ngidi, Reeza Hendricks, Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen, Tristan Stubbs
Heinrich Klaasen has earned his place in the team after the blistering knock at Cuttack. De Kock is likely to be fit again and should replace Reeza Hendricks. The rest of the team is well set and picks itself. Maharaj and Shamsi haven't been too great so far but they have a chance to step up at Vizag. There is still no update on the availability of Aiden Markaram who has missed both games due to Covid.
India will have to keep things simple and try to play their natural game. Dravid and Pant have a few tough calls to make with regards to team selection and balance. More will be expected from the likes of Pandya, Kishan and Gaikwad. Pant himself will have to bat well if India want to win the game. South Africa just need to continue doing what they have done in the first two matches. Considering the situation they will be eyeing a whitewash which will be an incredible feat.
