How can the teams still qualify for Indian Premier League playoffs?

CSK, MI, LSG and RCB hold a strong chance of qualifying for the IPL playoffs

(Cricket news) Most of the teams have already played 13 games, but still we have seen only one team getting qualified for the IPL playoffs. GT are the only team who have successfully qualified for the playoff and made sure they will finish in the top 2. With Gt qualifying there are 2 teams who are for sure not getting to the playoffs are DC and SRH. We will be looking at how CSK, LSG, MI, RCB, RR, KKR and PBKS can make it to the playoffs.

Playoffs scenario:

Chennai Super Kings: If Chennai Super Kings win their final match against Delhi Capitals on Saturday (May 20), they will be guaranteed a spot in the IPL 2023 playoffs. However, even if they lose, they will still advance if RCB or MI lose at least one of their remaining games.

Lucknow Super Giants: The qualification scenario for LSG is identical to that for CSK. If they win, they’ll be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs; if they lose, they’ll need MI and RCB to drop one of their remaining games.

Mumbai Indians: If MI defeats SRH in their last game and RCB loses at least one of their final two games against. SRH on May 18 and Gujarat Titans on May 21 they will advance to the IPL 2023 playoffs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: If RCB wins their final two games, they will advance. They currently have a higher net run rate than MI, which will benefit them. The performance of MI, KKR, RR, and PBKS in their final match will determine whether CSK and LSG advance to the final four if they lose one of the final two games.

Rajasthan Royals: Rajasthan Royals will be eligible for the playoffs if they defeat Punjab Kings by a significant margin in their most recent match, MI loses their future games against SRH and LSG, and KKR loses both of their games against SRH and GT, and RCB finishes bottom in the standings.

Kolkata Knight Riders: If KKR defeats LSG by a significant margin in their final game (to surpass MI in net run rate) and MI and RCB lose each of their remaining games, KKR will participate in the elimination round. They must continue to rely on the results of the PBKS vs. RR game, which will take place in Dharamsala. If RR loses against PBKS by a slim margin or if the score is tied, KKR advances.

Punjab Kings: The Punjab Kings are still in the running to make the IPL 2023 playoffs, but in order to do so, they must first defeat RR by a significant margin in their final game, and they must also anticipate that MI, RCB, and KKR would drop their remaining games. In such a case, RCB, KKR, and RR would each finish the season with 12 points, while MI and PBKS would each finish with 14 points. The squad that outruns MI and PBKS most frequently will move on.
