(Football News) Real Madrid’s recently acquired 18-year-old talent, Arda, has been benched following a knee surgery, as confirmed by the LaLiga club on Monday. This development marks the third instance of a player being sidelined due to a knee-related issue for the team.

Arda, who joined Real Madrid in July from Fenerbahce, had to conclude his involvement in the club’s pre-season tour in the United States prematurely due to this injury.

The midfielder’s surgical procedure comes in the wake of Real Madrid’s earlier losses of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and defender Eder Militao to anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries.

Real Madrid issued a statement, stating, “Arda Guler has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right knee today, performed under the supervision of Real Madrid’s Medical Services.”

Guler is set to commence his rehabilitation program in the forthcoming days.
