(Sports News) In a show of solidarity towards Indian athletes, the team behind ‘Ghoomer,’ a movie produced by Hope Productions, chose GoSports Foundation as the recipient of their winnings amounting to 12.5 Lakh INR from their participation in Kaun Banega Crorepati. Notably, key members of the movie’s cast, including Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher, and Director R Balki, appeared on the show’s episode aired on August 18.

Athletes such as Joyti Verma (Para-Badminton), Bhavya Sachdeva (Swimming), Tanishka Khatri (Fencing), Sumit Antil (Para-Javelin), Narayan Thakur (Para-Athletics), Jyoti Baliyan (Para-Archery), Avantika Narale (Athletics), and Vinay Kumar Lal (Para-Athletics) expressed their admiration for the film’s narrative on various social media platforms. These athletes, who have achieved remarkable feats like Sumit’s world record in Para-Javelin throw and Paralympic gold, or Jyoti Verma and Vinay’s gold medals in Para-Badminton and Para-Athletics World Championships, embody the resolute spirit and dedication highlighted by the film.

Elated by the positive feedback for the movie, Abhishek Bachchan shared his joy, stating, “Receiving such reactions from athletes whom I deeply respect is invaluable. I’m thrilled to have shared the film with them and to witness their appreciation afterward.”
