(Football News) Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) and OneFootball are delighted to announce a worldwide distribution partnership that will see the Indian Super League (ISL) deliver live streams and highlights to all matches of the upcoming 2023/24 season across more than 190 countries*. The Indian Super League, which began distributing the league’s live and non-live content on OneFootball during the 2021/22 season, has seen substantial interest from fans and the OneFootball community at large as the number ISL league followers has grown sevenfold ever since.

Commenting on the partnership, the FSDL spokesperson said, “We are delighted to partner with OneFootball for another season to bring the high-octane and pulsating action from the ISL to fans all around the world. The Indian Super League has a global fan following and with the increase in appetite to watch the new season, we are glad to provide our global audiences with the live viewing experience. Our partnership with OneFootball has been a strong success, and we hope that this season continues to globalise Indian football and increase its reach and appeal.”

OneFootball’s Yannick Ramcke (Head of OTT), adds: “The Indian Super League’s brand and reach has grown tremendously on OneFootball ever since we first partnered during the 2021/22 season. In fact, we consider the league as a blueprint for how football leagues have started to leverage our platform to develop and later commercialize an international, digital-native audience.

Launching the league’s first direct-to-consumer offering in high-demand markets and on the back of OneFootball will allow them to innovate even further on content distribution and presentation, including multi-language broadcasts, time-shifted viewing, as well as near-live and short-form versions of their media product. In other markets, the mandate remains to remove access barriers for consumers and to bring the league even closer to their fans by tapping into the global OneFootbal community.”

For the landmark 10th season of the ISL in 2023/24, international fans across the world will be able to catch the live action from all (139) matches of India’s top football league on the OneFootball website, as well as mobile, tablet, and connected TV applications — either for free or a highly flexible pay-per-view offering. There will be a myriad of free non-live content made available on OneFootball, including the OneFootball Publisher Network, to complement the live match watch experience, including highlights and other shoulder programming.

The kick-off of ISL´s season on September 21 heralds the new partnership in bringing Indian football to all OneFootball fans.

The exclusive direct-to-consumer offering from the ISL on OneFootball will initially launch in select markets in the MENA region** where users will have various options to instantly, flexibly, and affordably access ISL live matches. Initially available as a single-match pay-per-view offering, said direct-to-consumer offerings will be expanded by team and league season passes in the next few months, and come along with a user-friendly, all-in-one, and exclusive customer journey and watch experience. Indian Super League’s live coverage on OneFootball remains free-to-air outside these select markets in the MENA region.

*Worldwide, excluding Indian Subcontinent, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia &Herzegovina, Slovenia, Territory of Kosovo.

**The initial direct-to-consumer markets include UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait.
